“I have been forever changed after my trip to Rwanda, Africa. I learned of the extreme devastation suffered from genocide 15 years earlier. I learned of the poverty that is beyond what I have ever witnessed. I expected to see pain in the eyes of the people and bitterness in their hearts. But what I found in Rwanda was God. God is alive in their circumstances. He has given then hope and profound Peace in their hearts. I know the troubles are not gone, but I didn’t see people who have given up. I saw people who sing praises to God and are grateful for his goodness to them. I was in awe of these people who are alive in Christ. They lifted my heart to a new level of worship. Thank you to AMA who have been instrumental in giving them hope in Christ, helping them to learn from their past and move forward. They have provided them with the means and the training to be self sustainable. God is alive in Rwanda. I have seen it and will witness to it. Thank you AMA for giving me the opportunity to be a part of the work being done in Rwanda.”
